The Involvement Dream

In this short film from Nathan Olfied, the Australian Belinda Baggs surfs a single fin created by Wayne Lynch in 1968 that he considered his lucky board, taking it with him everywhere he went around the globe. Almost 40 years later Belinda Baggs rediscovers the pleasure of riding this historic board, which embodies a transitional period in the history of shaping: as the 1960s came to a close, boards got shorter, outlines got more curved and rails lost volume.
