A Bryanna Bradley Portrait Film
“As a female surf photographer that tends to shoot a lot of female surfers in Tofino, British Columbia, I spend a lot of my time pushing and encouraging publications, companies, and brands to publish and value female surf content. It is so exciting and inspiring when a photo or video is used, however, with surfing mostly being a male-dominated industry, it can sometimes become exhausting.
This past summer I received a beautiful email from Josiah Barkowsky, an editor from Inmist Media House, that was so kind and encouraging that may or may not have made me cry. The most important and exciting part of the email, was Inmist wanted to help tell the story I have spent the last two years trying to tell, using their very talented videography skills. They wanted to help tell the story of these amazingly beautiful and tough females that surf the cold waves here in Canada.
A month or so later Josiah and RJ Bruni, from Inmist, made the journey from Chilliwack, British Columbia to Vancouver Island to shoot for a couple of days. For the first time I was in front of the camera with my friends that are usually in front of my own camera, and the most exciting part was that we all got the chance to tell the story together.”
